See Through The Scriptures

September 10, 2026

“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. table.” 1 Timothy 4:13-14

I’m excited to be starting the See Through the Scriptures study this week! We have more than 16 people signed up to take part in the class, including a few who will watch it over YouTube. This will be a great overview of the Scriptures for people to start to put the puzzle pieces together, helping us see the big picture how the Old Testament builds toward God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. We will watch a short video of Dr. Harry Wendt as he teaches using special visual graphics to help teach and explain the story. Then we will walk through the workbook together and discuss the lesson.

There’s still time to sign up – a workbook, timeline, and study guide are included. We will meet for 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 sharp! Cheryl Richter will have some snacks to fill our stomachs as we feed our mind and spirit with God’s Word. Bring your Bible. This study is great for both experienced and beginners alike. The YouTube presentation will be available live, or later if you miss the class. It’s free! See you this coming Wednesday night in the chapel at 6:30 p.m.

Some exciting things coming up:

Special Guest Dr. Elihana Elias – during worship, September 20th. Elihana is passionate about creating inspirational music with messages of faith in the G-d of Israel, hope and love for this generation. She serves in ministry with her mother Dr. Hadassah and her brother, Israel, in teaching and Jewish outreach ministry through FRONTLINE ISRAEL; Restore Israel and the Nations. She spoke last year and included time after worship for anointing and prayer. We’re excited to welcome her back again this year!

Polish-Italian Sunday Meal – after worship, September 20th. Surprise! One of our new members, Nicole Taylor, loved the meal the Ecuadorian meal served by the Luzuriaggas last Sunday so much that said she’d love to serve us a meal, too!

Blending her Polish and Italian-American heritage, she will serve us Polish-style cabbage rolls filled with seasoned ground beef and wrapped in tender cabbage. Then pour her homemade Italian marinara sauce over it to add some color and flavor. Alongside this, there will be parmesan mashed potatoes and sweet honey glazed Hawaiian rolls. Sounds delicious! RSVP this Sunday so we can give her a good count.

The Lord keeps surprising us with wonderful blessings – gifts of people, theirtime, talents, and spirit. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. See youSunday!

In the name of Jesus;
Pastor Dan
