Planning for your marriage is a wonderful and exciting time but can also be very hectic and stressful. At First Lutheran Church, we rejoice with you on this wonderful occasion. Marriage is an important milestone in the life of faith, and as a community in Christ, we want to support you as you begin your lives together as husband and wife.
Marriage, like any time in life, is an appropriate time to worship God, give thanks for the gifts God has given us in our families and spouse, and to ask for God's blessing and help for a new marriage. The wedding is only the first step along a great journey, and God walks with us throughout the way. As God's church, we wish to journey along with you as well.
To be married at First Lutheran Church, either the bride or groom must be a member or have immediate family members who are. As part of the preparation process, couples are required to attend marriage preparation classes with the pastor. Contact the pastor and office for more information.
