“The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 1:14
I continue to be amazed at the opportunities and blessings that God is putting before us each month. Aren’t you? It feels like things are exploding all around us in wonderful ways. I’m almost waiting for someone to complain “Gee, Pastor, it’s getting way too busy here!”
For example:
We recently worked together with the other congregations onsite to host a Vacation Bible School with 28 adult volunteers and 18 children. That’s something we had only dreams of a year ago.
The Grace Notes Foundation sponsored two String Music Camps here that filled the sanctuary with youthful sounds praising Jesus, performing on two Sundays in worship for us, as well as a concert on July 19th at 6:00 p.m. that you should attend. Mark you calendar!
We’ve been contacted by the city and count to be a polling place in 2025-2026 for Municipal and County Elections. I believe this has been done in the past, and they would like to come back while the other location is under construction.
Our new member class keeps growing! We’ve been gathering names and I’ve been calling people that have expressed interest. We will be welcoming a wonderful group coming up in August. Every person matters! There is still time if you know someone who is interested in joining or even coming back if they have stopped coming in the past.
Looking ahead, Palm Beach Atlantic University is looking for a venue to host their music concerts. We are a good candidate for them, with the size, location, and parking they need. This could bring concerts weekly during the school year with some of the best of the best in music. Details are yet to be finalized.
Our Centennial Celebration committee has put together magnificent plans to help us celebrate 100 years of ministry and help us dream about the next 100 years. Put Sunday, April 12th on your calendar for the big event – all day long!
The many improvements we’ve made to the property are helping make these things possible. All four roof have been repaired! We have two fenced in basketball and gaga ball courts that Youth For Christ constructed. We’ve been updating the lighting, piano, cameras, air conditioning, and so much more. A lot of hard work done with the help of dedicated volunteers, a forward-looking church council, hardworking staff, and dedicated church members who want to see this church come to life again.
Isn’t this “abundance”? It is. It is God’s grace overflowing abundantly in and through us. Alleluia!
In Christ;
Pastor Dan
