Pastor Dan Baker was called to be the Senior Pastor at First Lutheran in January 2024. He previously served as Senior Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, IA; Executive Director at Mount Carmel Ministries, Alexandria, MN; Executive Director of ReClaim Resources; and Teaching and Visitation Pastor at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN, as well as Bethlehem and Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Churches in rural Glenville, MN.

After earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota, IT, he studied ministry and received his Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN.

Pastor Dan and his wife, Karina, have two grown children. His hobbies include playing guitar, restoring classic cars, gardening, and helping his brother farm during the spring and fall in Minnesota.

The Rev. Michael Breznen

Pastor Michael Breznen of Holy Cross Ministries also takes part in our Sunday morning worship services. The Holy Cross Congregation worships alongside members of First Lutheran and shares in many of the activities and volunteering.
